The Armstrong dirt & air separators (DAS) are designed to eliminate trapped air and suspended dirt particles associated with the start-up and maintenance of hydronic and HVAC systems.
The multiple chopping gap serves simultaneously as a load capacitor for the impulse generator and allows excellent reproducibility of the chopping time and does not distort the wave shape until the chopping point. With an additional secondary unit, the MAFS can be used, in some applications, as a voltage divider.
Measurement evaluation and analysis of impulse voltages and currents are performed in accordance to IEC 61083, IEC 60060, IEC 60076, IEC 60099, and IEC 60230, the relevant standards for High Voltage Impulse Testing.
